FREE VACCINATION!!
Wellness medicine helps us to keep healthy pets healthy. The foundation of sucessful disease prevention is early detection. When disease can be detected early, we can often make relatively minor changes in the diet or institute medications that will yield a longer, healthier life for your pet.
Testing helps our doctors see everything that can not be seen in a physical exam. If a disease is found in its early stages, there are steps that can be taken to manage or correct the problem before permanent damage is done. Idenifying slowly progressing, low grade illnesses that affect your pet can be extremely difficult when symptoms are absent. Since most domestic pets have an immense capacity to compensate for the loss of more than 70% of healthy liver and kidney tissue, for example, most diseases affecting these organs have been present for some time before symptoms are obvious on the outside.
Here at Tri City East Veterinary Hospital we know that pets are family members and that their owners want them to live the best quality life possible. Detecting disease early prolongs the quality of your pets' life and preventing disease is much cheaper than treating it.
Remember our pets can't talk and will hide illness so that clinical signs of disease often will not develop until late in the disease process. Many diseases can be detected much earlier through laboratory testing. Laboratory screening is very reasonable in cost, it increases the safety of anesthesia, provides " baselines" for future health assessments and provides "peace of mind".
It is highly recommended that wellness blood testing be done at least once-a-year. One year in the life of your pet is the same as 5-7 years in a human and represents 10-20% of their life span. Since monitoring your pets' health status on a regular basis can help us detect minor changes that signal the onset of disease we are giving a FREE VACCINATION TO ALL PATIENTS THAT PARTICIPATE IN HEALTHY PET WELLNESS TESTING.
